Halloween fun in the snow

A few weeks ago on a Saturday it was our Halloween party. We painted masks then we went trick or treating – this means you go to other people’s houses and they give you lollies. I got lots of lollies. I was dressed up as a witch. My friends wore lots of different costumes including a ghost, a skeleton, a vampire and a princess.

On Sunday morning I woke up at 6am and saw snow. I ran upstairs to tell my parents – there was a big pile of snow on the table on their balcony. Then my Mum asked me if I wanted to go outside in the snow. I said “Yes”. I played in the snow all day. I built a snow witch with my mum and I had snowball fights. It was so much fun.

It snowed again on the Wednesday and there was snow everywhere. The next Friday it was bar night. My friends asked me if I wanted to go outside and have a snowball fight with them. So I said “Yes” – we went outside and had a snowball fight.

My Blog

On Sunday we went on a bus to Tianjin for a cultural tour. When we got to Tianjin we went to a place that is Beijing Opera. We got split into groups. We got to choose our groups. The groups were singers, actors and horse riders. Me and Mummy and Daddy were all horse riders. Our teacher was a man with a long, long red beard (which was a fake beard). We learnt a dance that was of a horse rider and we had to perform it in front of everyone. After we got back on a bus and we went to the emperor’s house. It was beautiful. It had three floors. We watched a movie about the emperor. Then we went to lunch at a restaurant. It was fun. Then we went to an old family’s house. While we were there I met a friend from Germany. She followed me everywhere. Then we went back on the bus to Beijing. Me and my friend sat next to each other. We took our shoes off, we sat in the front and we laughed a lot and we kept on walking up and down the bus while it was moving. Then we went home and it was 7 o’clock. We had dinner at a place called ‘Serve the People’.

Bike rides, parties and play dates

A few weeks ago I went to a birthday party for a friend in my class. The party was at Kinekids. It was fun. There is a play area downstairs.

On Tuesday after school I went to my after school activities. My after school activity on Tuesdays is aerobics with my teacher. We made up a whole routine. We have almost finished it. There are lots of people in my aerobics class. My after school activity on Wednesdays is movie club where we can watch a lot of movies and we can even bring in FOOD.

On Tuesday night it was snowing really, really hard. I made a snow angel. I was cold.

On Wednesday my Dad bought me a pink i-pod from the market because I learnt how to tie up my shoe laces in a bow. It worked when we got home but broke very quickly. Instead he bought me a DS game which is called Kungfu Panda legendary warriors. I already tried it out. It is really fun.

On Thursday my friend came over to my house after school. We played together outside and inside and in the snow. We made a snowball each. My friend’s snowball is really big. My snowball is not that big - it is really small.

On Friday I went on a really, really slippery bench. I fell off it because it was so slippery, but I was OK.

On Saturday me and my mum went down to the Yashow markets. While we were walking there me and my mum walked through a maze of bricks and past lots of shops and houses. When we got to a certain part of the maze we walked past lots of bamboo trees. At Yashow I went up to the top level and went to the sport area. I bought a present for my friend. It was his birthday on Sunday. My friend whose birthday party it is got a badminton set from me.

On Sunday I went to my friend’s birthday party. He was a boy. The place where my friend’s birthday party was was at a place called FunDazzle. The ball pit was a huge, gigantic, enormous, stupendous, massive ball pit. It had lots of slides that went down into the ball pit. The playground at FunDazzle was a stupendous, enormous, gigantic, massive, huge, big playground. The playground has lots of twisty turvy spots and really fun spots like the two flying foxes. One of them my friend showed me, the other I discovered myself. They are both next to a rope bridge with punching bags all the way through.

Also on Sunday me, mum and dad went down to a place called Grandmas kitchen for breakfast. I got a hot chocolate and a toasted cheese sandwich. Mum got apple pancakes and a coffee. Dad got steak and eggs and a coffee. Mum and dad together shared a fresh squeezed orange juice. On the way back we crossed Ritan park. Unfortunately they didn’t allow any bikes inside and we rode bikes, so we weren’t allowed to go inside. The bike riding was so much fun but everyone was looking at me and my bike.
